There would be an ungodly amount of input lag. One thing that has persisted pre and post DXVK was the issue with my keyboard. Before I was aware of DXVK, I made it as far as the character creation stage, before crashing at the loading screen before the Cemetery of Ash.
So anyway, I've been trying to get DS3 to cooperate with Wine for a while now, with varying degrees of success. What kind of a masochist do you have to be to play DS3 with a keyboard? Sadly, my only option. Proton Database - Unofficial database of Proton compatibilityĬrossOver - Third party utility (commercial)

This subreddit is for the discussion of using WINE to play video games. Instead of simulating internal Windows logic like a virtual machine or emulator, Wine translates Windows API calls into POSIX calls on-the-fly, eliminating the performance and memory penalties of other methods and allowing you to cleanly integrate Windows applications into your desktop. Wine (originally an acronym for 'Wine Is Not an Emulator') is a compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems, such as Linux, Mac OSX, & BSD.
